Biography
Gideon Raff, also known as Gidi Raff, is an Israeli film and television director, screenwriter and writer. Born on 10 September 1972 in Jerusalem, he created, wrote and directed the Israeli series Prisoners of War (2009–2012), also known as Hatufim.
Raff co-developed the American adaptation Homeland (2011) with Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. He served as an executive producer, co-wrote the pilot episode and shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series in 2012. He has also directed and written The Red Sea Diving Resort (2019) and The Spy (2019).
Raff studied film at Tel Aviv University and completed a graduate degree in directing at the American Film Institute. His other credits include directing episodes of Quantico (2015) and creating Dig (2015).
