Biography
Gigi Ballista (1 December 1918 – 2 August 1980) was an Italian film and television actor, also credited as Giggi Ballista or Luigi Ballista. Born in Florence, he appeared in approximately 60 films between 1961 and 1980.
Ballista graduated in law and initially worked as a PR consultant in advertising and industrial documentaries. He began acting in minor roles in the early 1960s and gained wider recognition after appearing in The Birds, the Bees and the Italians (1966). Among his later credits are Midnight Express (1978), in which he played the Chief Judge, Horse Fever (1976), Salon Kitty (1976) and The Secret of Santa Vittoria (1969).
