Biography
Gilly Flower (born Gertrude Adele Jacobs) was an English actress. She is best known for playing the elderly resident Miss Abitha Tibbs in all twelve episodes of the BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers (1975–1979).
A Londoner, she began her career with a film role in The New Hotel (1932) and later appeared in television series including Only Fools and Horses (1983), Z-Cars, Steptoe and Son and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. She retired from acting in 1991 and died in Surrey in 2001.
