Biography
Girish Pandurang Kulkarni is an Indian actor, writer, producer and director. Born on 25 November 1977 in Nannaj, Solapur district, Maharashtra, he trained in mechanical engineering and began with local stage plays before moving into film.
He is best known for his work in Marathi cinema, including Valu (2008), Vihir (2009) and Deool (2011), for which he received National Film Awards for Best Actor and Best Screenplay. In Hindi films and series he has appeared as Coach Pramod Kadam in Dangal (2016), Inspector Jadhav in Ugly (2013), Nalawade in Kaabil (2017) and Bipin Bhosle in Sacred Games (2018).
