Biography
Giulia Gandini is a London-based director and writer originally from Italy. She trained at MetFilm School, graduating with an MA in Directing in 2017.
Her short film My Time (2018) was long-listed for the Academy Awards in 2020 and won a Young Director Award at Cannes that year. She has directed episodes of Italian series including Jams (2020), the pilot of Cabala (2022) and served as series director on Shake (2023). She worked as second unit director on the Sky series The Lazarus Project (2022).
In the UK, Gandini directed three episodes of the eighth series of Shetland (2023). Subsequent credits include two episodes of The Split: Barcelona (2024) and lead director duties on Frauds (2025).
