Biography
Giuliana Lojodice is an Italian actress. Born in Bari on 12 August 1940, she began auditioning for theatre roles at the age of fourteen and made her stage debut in 1955 in a Luchino Visconti production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible. She enrolled at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico but did not complete the course. Her first leading television role came in 1958.
She is known primarily for her work in theatre and on television, with selected film appearances. These include an uncredited role in Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita (1960), the school principal in Roberto Benigni's Life Is Beautiful (1997), and parts in Not of This World (1999) and Riconciliati (2001). She has also worked as a voice actress and in 2004 provided narration for Renato Zero's tour Cattura il sogno. Lojodice is the sister of choreographer Leda Lojodice.
