Biography
Gladys Brockwell was an American actress, also credited as Gladys Lindeman and Miss Brockwell. Born Gladys Lindeman in Brooklyn, New York, she began performing on stage as a young child and made her film debut in 1913 for Lubin Studios.
She appeared in numerous silent films, including as Sister Gudule in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) and Nana in 7th Heaven (1927). Brockwell also featured in early sound films such as Lights of New York (1928). She was the daughter of actress Billie Brockwell and had brief marriages to director Robert B. Broadwell and Harry Edwards.
Brockwell died on 2 July 1929 in Hollywood, California, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
