Biography
Glen Laker is a British television screenwriter. He previously worked in access services at the BBC, developing subtitling and signed programming, and as a subtitler at ITV. He began writing scripts in his spare time, with early broadcast credits including work for BBC’s See Hear.
Laker has written two episodes of the ITV crime drama Vera (2015–2016). He adapted and wrote the six-part mini-series Prime Suspect 1973 (also known as Prime Suspect: Tennison, 2017) for ITV and PBS. He has written multiple episodes of The Chelsea Detective (2022–) for Acorn TV and contributed to series including Holby City (2014), Home Fires (2016) and The Good Karma Hospital (2019). He has also served as associate producer on The Chelsea Detective.
