Biography
Glenn Langan (1917–1991) was an American character actor in stage and film. Born in Denver, Colorado, he began his theatre training there as stage manager at Elitch's Gardens before moving to New York, where he made his Broadway debut in Glamour Preferred (1940). His other stage credits included the 1942 revival of A Kiss for Cinderella.
Langan made his credited film debut in The Return of Doctor X (1939). He appeared in 20th Century Fox productions such as Dragonwyck (1946) as Dr. Jeff Turner, Forever Amber (1947) as Captain Rex Morgan, and The Snake Pit (1948) as Dr. Terry. Later roles included Lt. Col. Glenn Manning in The Amazing Colossal Man (1957) and uncredited parts in Chisum (1970) and The Andromeda Strain (1971). He also worked in radio, starring as Barton Drake in Murder Is My Hobby.
After his screen career declined in the 1950s, Langan became a real estate salesman. He was married to actress Adele Jergens from 1949 until his death from lymphoma in Camarillo, California.
