Biography
Gong Geer is a Chinese filmmaker, actor, screenwriter and producer. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and began his career as a singer and actor before moving into film production and writing.
He is known for his work on the Wandering Earth films. Gong co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer on The Wandering Earth (2019) and its sequel The Wandering Earth II (2023). He also produced the war film The Sacrifice (2020) and Journey to the West (2021), and provided voice work in Ne Zha 2 (2025). He appeared in a small acting role as Supply Station Prison Guard A in the first Wandering Earth film.
Gong has received awards including the Film Producer Award at the Beijing Film Academy Awards for The Wandering Earth and an Outstanding Screenwriter Award at the Huabiao Awards.
