Biography
Wu Jing (also credited as Jing Wu or Jacky Wu) is a Chinese actor, martial artist and director. Born in Beijing in 1974, he trained at the Beijing Wushu Academy from the age of six and later attended Beijing Sport University. He began his screen career in the mid-1990s after being spotted by choreographer Yuen Woo-ping for the film Tai Chi Boxer.
Wu achieved mainstream success as an action star with his leading role and directorial debut in Wolf Warrior (2015) and its sequel Wolf Warrior 2 (2017). He has appeared in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), the SPL films, Shaolin (2011), The Wandering Earth (2019) and its 2023 sequel, Ride On (2023) and Meg 2: The Trench (2023).
