Biography
Gordon Pollock was a cinematographer and camera technician whose credits span the silent era and early sound films. He worked as a photographer on Queen Kelly (1929) and as one of the cinematographers on Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights (1931), alongside Roland Totheroh.
Earlier credits include director of photography on Defying the Law (1924), Nine and Three-Fifths Seconds (1925) and Heartless Husbands (1925). In the 1950s he served as director of stereoscopic photography on College Capers (1953) and as technical advisor on stereovision for I, the Jury (1953). He also worked as assistant camera on A Perfect Crime (1921).
