Biography
Gorō Mutsumi (also credited as Goro Mutsumi or Gorô Mutsumi) was a Japanese actor, voice actor and stage performer. He was born on 11 September 1934 in Kobe and died on 5 June 2021.
Mutsumi appeared in more than thirty films and numerous television series, specialising in villainous roles in jidaigeki and tokusatsu productions. He is known for playing Alien Supreme Leader Kuronuma in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla (1974) and Commander Mugal in Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975). Other credits include Iwane Ozunu in Lone Wolf and Cub: White Heaven in Hell (1974) and voice roles as Dr. Paul Stewart in The War of the Gargantuas (1966) and Crystal Bowie in Space Adventure Cobra (1982). He also worked in narration, dubbing and stage productions.
