Biography
Graham Baker is an English film and television director. Born in November 1938 in Woolwich, London, he began his career in British television, directing an episode of the series The Sweeney in 1978.
His feature debut was the short film Leaving Lily (1975), which he also wrote and produced and which received a BAFTA nomination. He later directed Hollywood films including The Final Conflict (1981), Impulse (1984), Alien Nation (1988), The Recruit (1990), Born to Ride (1991) and Beowulf (1999). Baker studied painting, graphic design and architecture at Leicester College and spent many years directing television commercials.
