Biography
Graham Greene was an English writer and screenwriter. Born Henry Graham Greene on 2 October 1904 in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, he died on 3 April 1991 in Corseaux, Switzerland. He wrote novels, short stories, plays and screenplays, and worked as a film critic in the 1930s.
Greene wrote the screenplay for the film The Third Man (1949), directed by Carol Reed. He also wrote the screenplay for The Fallen Idol (1948) and adapted several of his own works for the screen, including Our Man in Havana (1960). Many of his novels, such as Brighton Rock (1938), The Quiet American (1955) and The End of the Affair (1951), have been adapted into films.
