Biography

Greg Colton, also credited as Gregory A Colton, is an American animation director. Born on 22 October 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, he graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1998 with a degree in film and video production, emphasising animation.

Colton began his career in animation as a storyboard artist, layout artist and writer on series including The Powerpuff Girls (1998), Invader ZIM, ¡Mucha Lucha! and Dilbert. He joined Family Guy (1999) in storyboard and assistant director roles before becoming a director in 2005. He has directed dozens of episodes of the series, including several in the "Road to..." sequence, as well as all 36 episodes of Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy (2008–2010). In 2010 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his storyboard work on the Family Guy episode "Road to the Multiverse".
