Biography

Greg Cruttwell is an English actor, screenwriter, director and producer. He is the son of actress Geraldine McEwan and Hugh Cruttwell, former principal of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Cruttwell performed in numerous theatre productions and wrote and starred in the play Waiting for Sir Larry (1990), which won a Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Festival. His film roles include Jeremy in Mike Leigh's Naked (1993), Allan Hopper in 2 Days in the Valley (1996) and Max in George of the Jungle (1997). He has also appeared in British television series including Birds of a Feather and French and Saunders, and in US series such as Murder, She Wrote.

Cruttwell wrote and directed the feature Chunky Monkey (2000). He co-founded the production company Head Gear Films in 2002 and later Bankside Films. He founded Balham Football Club in 2001.
