Biography
Grizzly Bear is an American indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 2002. Its members are Edward Droste, Daniel Rossen, Chris Taylor and Christopher Bear. The band has contributed music to films, including as composer for Blue Valentine (2010) and Jack Goes Boating (2010).
For Blue Valentine, directed by Derek Cianfrance, the band supplied tracks and instrumentals drawn primarily from their earlier albums Yellow House (2006), Veckatimest (2009) and the EP Friend (2007). These were used to underscore the film after scheduling prevented the creation of new original score material.
