Biography
Gunnel Elisabet Fred is a Swedish stage and screen actress. She was born on 29 August 1955 in Årsta, Stockholm. After early work in television and studies at Teaterstudion and Scenskolan in Stockholm (1979–1982), she joined the ensemble at Stockholms stadsteater before becoming a permanent member of Dramaten in 1990.
Fred is known as a member of the comedy group Lorrygänget, appearing in the SVT series Lorry (1989–1995) and the related film Yrrol (1994). Her film roles include Siv in Midsommar (2019), Martha in Saraband (2003) and Karin in The Dream House (1993). She has also appeared in television series such as The Bridge.
