Biography
Gustave Reininger (1950–2012) was an American screenwriter. He wrote the episode 'Forgive Us Our Debts' for the NBC series Miami Vice (1984) and co-created the crime drama Crime Story (1986–1988) with Chuck Adamson, which was executive produced by Michael Mann.
Reininger grew up in Lakeside Park, Kentucky, and graduated from the University of Chicago, where he studied economics and English literature. Before writing full time he worked as an international investment banker on Wall Street. His other credits include the documentary Corso: The Last Beat (2009), which he wrote, produced and directed, and an episode of Robbery Homicide Division (2002).
