Biography
Hagai Levi is an Israeli television creator, writer, director and producer. Born in 1963 in Sha'alvim, he began working as a projectionist at the kibbutz cinema as a teenager and later studied film and television at Tel Aviv University after military service.
Levi created the Israeli series BeTipul (2005–2008), which was adapted internationally, including as the HBO series In Treatment (2008). He co-created the Showtime series The Affair (2014) and the HBO series Our Boys (2019). He wrote, directed and served as creator on the 2021 HBO adaptation of Scenes from a Marriage, starring Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain.
