Biography
Halina Gryglaszewska (1917–2010) was a Polish actress who appeared in theatre and film. She trained at the State Higher School of Theatre in Kraków, graduating from the acting faculty in 1947 and the directing faculty in 1960, and was later a professor there.
She performed primarily with Kraków theatres, including the Stary Teatr and Teatr im. Juliusza Słowackiego, and made her film debut in the 1970s. Gryglaszewska is known for her roles as Malinowska in Andrzej Wajda’s The Promised Land (1975) and as the aunt in Krzysztof Kieślowski’s The Double Life of Véronique (1991). She also appeared in Filip Bajon’s Wahadelko (1981) and Dorota Kędzierzawska’s Nic (1998).
