Biography
Halina Kwiatkowska (née Królikiewiczówna) was a Polish actress. She was born on 25 April 1921 in Bochnia and died on 12 November 2020 in Konstancin-Jeziorna.
She began her career in 1941 with a performance in Król Duch at the underground Rapsodyczny Theatre in Kraków during the Nazi occupation, where she also appeared alongside Karol Wojtyła (later Pope John Paul II). She performed extensively in Kraków theatres, including the Stary Theatre, playing 64 roles, and appeared in nine films. Her screen credits include Staniewiczowa in Ashes and Diamonds (1958), Krzeszowska in The Doll (1968), an old lady in Karol: A Man Who Became Pope (2005), and Zofia Krzeminska in And Along Come Tourists (2007).
Kwiatkowska was also an educator at the Kraków State Theatre School and a writer. She was married to Tadeusz Kwiatkowski.
