Biography
Hania Rani, born Hanna Raniszewska on 5 September 1990 in Gdańsk, Poland, is a pianist, composer and vocalist. She trained at the Feliks Nowowiejski Music School in Gdańsk, the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin.
Rani composed the score for the 2025 film Sentimental Value, directed by Joachim Trier. She has also written music for The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart (2023) and Rosalie (2024). In 2026 she received the European Film Award for Best Composer for Sentimental Value.
