Biography
Hannah Minghella is a film producer and studio executive. She is Head of Netflix Animation Studios, having joined Netflix in 2024 as head of feature animation and live-action family films before assuming her current role in 2026.
Previously she was Head of Motion Pictures at J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, where she produced the animated short The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse (2022) and the documentary The Blue Angels (2024). She also produced Lou (2022) and served as producer on David Robert Mitchell’s The End of Oak Street (2026).
Earlier in her career she spent nearly 15 years at Sony Pictures Entertainment, including as President of Production at Sony Pictures Animation, where she oversaw films such as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Hotel Transylvania and The Smurfs. She is a Governor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
