Biography
Harald Wolff (11 January 1909 – June 1977) was a German stage, film and television actor. Born in Barmen (now Wuppertal), he completed a commercial apprenticeship after school before turning to acting. He made his screen debut in 1939 in Helmut Käutner's comedy Kitty and the World Conference.
After the Second World War, Wolff appeared in German productions and international films, including Decision Before Dawn (1951), La Traversée de Paris (1956), The Night Affair (1958) and State of Siege (1972). He is known for his role as Monsieur Dubourg in Jacques Demy's musical The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964). He also worked extensively as a voice actor, dubbing performers such as Desmond Llewelyn and Charles Boyer.
