Biography
Harold Goodwin (22 October 1917 – 3 June 2004) was an English actor born in Wombwell, Barnsley, Yorkshire. He trained at RADA and began his stage career in repertory theatre in Liverpool before appearing on the West End stage from 1949.
Goodwin appeared in numerous British films of the 1950s and 1960s, often in supporting roles as working-class characters or military personnel. His credits include The Man in the White Suit (1951), The Ladykillers (1955), The Dam Busters (1955), The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) as Baker, The Prince and the Showgirl (1957), The Longest Day (1962) and Jabberwocky (1977). He also made many television appearances, including in The Avengers, All Creatures Great and Small, That's My Boy, Coronation Street (1991) and One Foot in the Grave (1992).
