Biography
Harry Carr (1877–1936) was an American writer and occasional actor who contributed to numerous silent films. He worked on the screenplay for Charlie Chaplin's City Lights (1931), listed as uncredited, and received a writing credit on Erich von Stroheim's The Wedding March (1928). Other credits include The Blue Danube (1928), Old Ironsides (1926) and The Divine Lady (1929).
Born in Tipton, Iowa, Carr began his career in journalism before turning to screenwriting and story adaptation in the 1920s. He also appeared in a small number of films as an actor.
