Biography
Harry Gilby is an English actor born on 21 August 2001 in Nottingham. He began training at the Television Workshop in Nottingham at the age of 12 and appeared as Nathan in the original West End cast of The Full Monty at the Noël Coward Theatre.
Gilby made his television debut in Jericho in 2016. He played Charlie Lyndsay in the film Just Charlie (2017), for which he received a nomination for Most Promising Newcomer at the British Independent Film Awards. In 2019 he portrayed the young J. R. R. Tolkien in the film Tolkien. He played Æthelstan in the fifth season of The Last Kingdom (2022) and reprised the role in the film The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (2023). Other credits include episodes of Grantchester (2020) and Casualty (2019).
