Biography
Harry Gittes (1936–2017) was an American film producer. He attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and began his career in New York as an advertising copywriter and photographer before moving into film production.
Gittes collaborated frequently with Jack Nicholson, producing Drive, He Said (1971), Goin' South (1978) and About Schmidt (2002). He also produced Harry and Walter Go to New York (1976), Little Nikita (1988), Breaking In (1989), The Girl Next Door (2004) and served as executive producer on Last Flag Flying (2017). Nicholson's character in Chinatown (1974) was named after him.
