Biography
Harry Hickox (1910–1994) was an American character actor. Born in Big Spring, Texas, he began his career as a musician, playing guitar with jazz bands, before working in stock theatre and radio.
In the early 1960s he appeared in touring productions of The Music Man, including as understudy to Harold Hill, and played Charlie Cowell in the 1962 film adaptation. His other screen credits include The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966), Cheyenne Autumn (1964) and television appearances in series such as Columbo (1971), Kojak (1973), The Six Million Dollar Man (1974) and Perry Mason (1957).
Hickox died in Los Angeles on 3 June 1994.
