Biography
Harry Kurnitz (5 January 1908 – 18 March 1968) was an American playwright, novelist and screenwriter. He grew up in Philadelphia and studied at the University of Pennsylvania before working as a book and music reviewer for The Philadelphia Record.
Kurnitz wrote mystery fiction under the pen name Marco Page. His 1937 novel Fast Company brought him to Hollywood, where he contributed to more than forty screenplays. His credits include Witness for the Prosecution (1957), How to Steal a Million (1966), Hatari! (1962) and several Thin Man films. He also wrote the plays Reclining Figure (1954) and Once More, with Feeling! (1960), and collaborated with Noël Coward on the musical The Girl Who Came to Supper (1963).
