Biography
Harry Lewis (1 April 1920 – 9 June 2013) was an American actor and restaurateur. Born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, he began his career with uncredited roles in the early 1940s and was placed under contract to Warner Bros., appearing in several of their films.
Among his credited film roles were Edward 'Toots' Bass in Key Largo (1948) and Sheriff Clyde Boston in Gun Crazy (1950). He also appeared in television series such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Six Million Dollar Man.
In 1950 Lewis and his wife Marilyn founded the Hamburger Hamlet restaurant chain in Los Angeles, which grew to multiple locations before they sold it in the 1990s; they later operated the Kate Mantilini restaurant.
