Biography
Harry Waxman (3 April 1912 – 24 December 1984) was an English cinematographer. Born in London, he began his career as a darkroom assistant and camera operator at British International Pictures before serving with the RAF Film Unit during the Second World War.
From 1947 he worked as a director of photography on features. His credits include Brighton Rock (1948), Swiss Family Robinson (1960), The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961), The Nanny (1965), The Wicker Man (1973) and The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976). He received a British Society of Cinematographers award for Sapphire (1959).
