Biography
Harve Brosten (born 15 May 1943) is an American screenwriter. He was born in Chicago, Illinois.
Brosten wrote three episodes of the CBS sitcom All in the Family between 1974 and 1977, including 'Where's Archie?', 'Edith's Friend' and 'Cousin Liz'. He shared a 1978 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the latter episode, written with Barry Harman, Bob Schiller and Bob Weiskopf. He also contributed to the premiere episode of the spin-off series The Jeffersons in 1975.
He maintained a long-term creative partnership with Harman. Earlier credits include assistant roles on the films The Anderson Tapes (1971) and Shamus (1973). He co-produced the Broadway musical Romance/Romance (1988), which received a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical.
