Biography
Harvey S. Laidman was an American television director. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in cinema in 1964. He began his career as an assistant director and production manager before directing his first episode of The Waltons in 1975.
Laidman directed episodes of numerous series, including Kojak (1973), Hawaii Five-O (1968), The Dukes of Hazzard (1979), Magnum, P.I. (1980), Knight Rider (1982), Airwolf (1984), Matlock (1986), Quantum Leap (1989) and 7th Heaven (1996). He helmed 33 episodes of Matlock, 16 of 7th Heaven and 11 of The Waltons.
