Biography
Hattie Winston is an American actress. She was born on 3 March 1945 in Lexington, Mississippi, and raised in Greenville, Mississippi. She played Simone in the 1997 film Jackie Brown.
Winston began her career on the stage in New York City. She appeared in Broadway productions including The Me Nobody Knows (1970–71) and Two Gentlemen of Verona (1972–73), and was a member of the Negro Ensemble Company. She graduated from Howard University on a voice scholarship and later joined the cast of the PBS children's series The Electric Company.
Her other notable credits include the role of Margaret Wyborn on the television series Becker (1998–2004), the voice of Lucy Carmichael in The Rugrats Movie (1998) and related series, and film roles in Beverly Hills Cop III (1994) and True Crime (1999). She has also appeared in numerous guest roles on television.
