Biography
Hayden Schlossberg is an American screenwriter, director and producer. Born on 9 June 1978 in Livingston, New Jersey, he is best known for his work on the series Cobra Kai (2018–2025), which he co-created with Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald. He has also written and directed entries in the Harold & Kumar film series and co-directed American Reunion (2012).
Schlossberg met Hurwitz at Randolph High School and graduated from the University of Chicago in 2000. The pair sold their first screenplay, Filthy, while at university and later moved to Los Angeles, where they developed Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004). Schlossberg and Hurwitz have frequently collaborated with Heald on subsequent projects.
On Cobra Kai, Schlossberg serves as co-creator, showrunner, writer, director and executive producer. He has also contributed to series such as Obliterated (2023) and the forthcoming 72 Hours (2026).
