Biography
Helen Morse is an English-born Australian actress. She was born on 24 January 1947 in Harrow on the Hill, Middlesex, England, and moved to Australia with her family in 1950. She attended Presbyterian Ladies' College in Burwood, Victoria, and graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1965.
Morse is known for her screen roles in Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) as Mlle. Dianne de Poitiers, Caddie (1976) for which she won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and the television miniseries A Town Like Alice (1981). Her other film credits include Agatha (1979) and The Eye of the Storm (2011). She has also worked extensively in Australian theatre.
She was married to Australian actor and director Sandy Harbutt, with whom she appeared in Stone (1974).
