Biography
Helena Kallianiotes is a Greek-born American actress and dancer. Born on 24 March 1938 in Megalopolis, Greece, she moved to the United States as a child and began performing as a belly dancer in Boston nightclubs from the age of sixteen. She later worked as a dancer in California venues including The Intersection in North Hollywood.
Her film career began with uncredited roles in Head (1968) and Easy Rider (1969). She appeared as Palm Apodaca in Five Easy Pieces (1970) and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Jackie Burdette in Kansas City Bomber (1972). Other credits include The Drowning Pool (1975), Stay Hungry (1976) and Eureka (1983). She also operated the private club Helena's in Los Angeles and hosted roller-skating events.
