Biography
Hélène Vincent is a French actress and stage director, also credited as Jocelyne-Hélène Nain. Born in Paris, she trained at the cours Raymond-Girard after early work with university theatre groups directed by Patrice Chéreau and Jean-Pierre Vincent.
She has appeared in numerous films and television series, including the role of the journalist in Three Colors: Blue (1993). She is known for her performance as Madame Marielle Le Quesnoy in Life Is a Long Quiet River (1988), for which she received a César Award for Best Supporting Actress, and for roles in I Don't Kiss (1991), Bernie (1996), Samba (2014), The Specials (2019) and When Fall Is Coming (2024).
Vincent has maintained a substantial stage career, acting for directors including Chéreau and her husband Jean-Pierre Vincent, and directing plays by authors such as Shakespeare, Strindberg and Ibsen. She received a further César nomination for I Don't Kiss.
