Biography
Henri de Baillet-Latour was a Belgian aristocrat and sports administrator. He served as the third president of the International Olympic Committee from 1925 until his death.
Born on 1 March 1876 and died on 6 January 1942, both in Brussels, he helped organise the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp as president of the Belgian Olympic Committee and succeeded Pierre de Coubertin in the IOC role.
He appeared as himself, uncredited, in Leni Riefenstahl's documentary Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations (1938), standing with Adolf Hitler and hurdlers at the 1936 Games, and is seen in archive footage in Sunshine (1999).
