Biography
Henri Letondal (29 June 1901 – 15 February 1955) was a French-Canadian actor, playwright, critic and musician. Born in Montreal, he trained as a cellist and worked as a music and theatre critic for La Patrie from around 1920, serving as its Paris correspondent from 1926 to 1929. He directed radio programmes for CKAC in Montreal, including L'Heure provinciale, and wrote numerous radio plays and sketches.
In 1946 he moved to Hollywood and appeared in around 35 films as a character actor. His credits include The Razor's Edge (1946), The Big Clock (1948), Madame Bovary (1949), Royal Wedding (1951), The Big Sky (1952) as La Badie, Monkey Business (1952) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953).
