Biography
Henry Adebonojo is a New York City-based cinematographer and photographer. He began working in film in 1985 as a production assistant and joined the camera department in 1988, later becoming a member of IATSE Local 600. His early work included commercials, music videos and documentaries.
Adebonojo has served as director of photography on several documentaries, including I Am Not Your Negro (2016), one of three credited cinematographers on the film. Other credits include Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool (2019), Bill Traylor: Chasing Ghosts (2019) and Silver Dollar Road (2023). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for his work on the 2000 HBO documentary Half Past Autumn: The Life and Works of Gordon Parks.
