Biography
Henry Batista (also credited as Henry Battista) was an American film and television editor. Born in Pasadena, California, he worked in editing from the 1930s through the 1970s, primarily on Columbia Pictures productions and later television series.
He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing for his work on The Caine Mutiny (1954), which he co-edited with William A. Lyon. His other feature credits include My Name Is Julia Ross (1945), Jungle Manhunt (1951), The Brave Bulls (1951), The Four Poster (1952), Cell 2455, Death Row (1955), Women's Prison (1955) and Venus in Furs (1969). He also edited numerous Three Stooges shorts and episodes of series such as Jungle Jim, Alias Smith and Jones and How the West Was Won.
