Biography
Henry Gilroy is an American screenwriter and producer known for his work in animation. He studied film at colleges in the Los Angeles area and began his career as an editor in Warner Bros.' animation department.
Gilroy co-wrote the screenplay for the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) with Steven Melching and Scott Murphy. He served as head writer for the first season of the accompanying television series, collaborating with George Lucas and Dave Filoni, and later worked as co-executive producer and writer on Star Wars Rebels (2014–2018).
His other credits include writing for Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League Unlimited, Jackie Chan Adventures, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) and G.I. Joe: Renegades, which he co-created. He received Emmy nominations and Saturn Awards for his contributions to Star Wars animation.
