Biography
Henry Strozier is an American actor and narrator. He began his professional career in 1960 as an apprentice at the Barter Theatre in Virginia. He was a resident company member at eleven theatres, including Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., where he appeared in fifty productions over sixteen years, as well as the Asolo, Baltimore's Center Stage, the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival, the Missouri Repertory Theatre and the American Players Theater. He has also performed on and off Broadway.
Strozier's screen credits include the role of Dean Rusk in Thirteen Days (2000), a minister in Contact (1997), a judge in Sex and the City (2008) and appearances in the Law & Order franchise, Damages and You Don't Know Jack (2010). He was the original male voice of the Discovery Channel and narrated the PBS series 1900 House and Manor House and the Animal Planet series Too Cute!, for which he received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. He holds a B.A. with honours in English from the University of Iowa and served three years in the U.S. Army.
