Biography
Herbert Rawlinson was an English actor who appeared in stage, film, radio and television productions. Born in New Brighton, Cheshire, he sailed to the United States on the same ship as Charlie Chaplin and became a leading man in Hollywood silent films before transitioning to character roles with the advent of sound.
His credits include Dark Victory (1939) as Dr. Carter, Bullets or Ballots (1936) as Mr. Caldwell and an episode of Adventures of Superman (1952) as Rozan. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for his contribution to the motion picture industry. Rawlinson died in Los Angeles in 1953.
