Biography
Hilary Henkin is an American screenwriter and producer. She was born on 19 November 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and New York City. She studied at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.
Henkin received shared screenplay credit, alongside David Mamet, for the 1997 film Wag the Dog, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Her other screenwriting credits include Road House (1989), Romeo Is Bleeding (1993), Fatal Beauty (1987) and Flowers in the Attic (1987). She also produced Romeo Is Bleeding.
She has additional writing credits on Road House (2024) and earlier films such as Headin' for Broadway (1980).
