Biography
Hiroaki Inoue (井上博明) is a Japanese anime producer. He began his career in animation production at Tezuka Productions in the early 1980s and later worked for Magic Bus and MK Company.
In 1984 he co-founded the studio Gainax, serving as vice president until 1989. He subsequently joined Anime International Company and established Oniro Co., Ltd., where he is representative director. Since 2014 he has been a professor in the Animation Department at Kibi International University.
Inoue produced Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise (1987), Memories (1995) and Perfect Blue (1998). His other credits include numerous entries in the Tenchi Muyo! franchise, Gunbuster and Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040.
